Laser-Powered Co-Firing Process for Highly Efficient Si Solar Cells
نویسندگان
چکیده
This article presents a successful laser-powered co-firing process for highly efficient Si solar cells as more compact and energy-efficient alternative to the conventional firing in an infrared (IR) lamp-powered heat chamber. The best cell group reaches with laser only 0.1%abs lower efficiency compared firing, demonstrating industrial potential of this technology. Adding enhanced contact optimization (LECO) after improves level combination LECO process.

Design and Simulation of a Highly Efficient InGaN/Si Double-Junction Solar Cell
A solar cell is an electronic device which not only harvests photovoltaic effect but also transforms light energy into electricity. In photovoltaic phenomenon, a P-N junction is created to form an empty region. The presented paper aims at proposing a new highly efficient InGaN/Si double-junction solar cell structure. This cell is designed to be used in a real environmental situation, so only s...
متن کاملFlexible, highly efficient all-polymer solar cells
All-polymer solar cells have shown great potential as flexible and portable power generators. These devices should offer good mechanical endurance with high power-conversion efficiency for viability in commercial applications. In this work, we develop highly efficient and mechanically robust all-polymer solar cells that are based on the PBDTTTPD polymer donor and the P(NDI2HD-T) polymer accepto...
متن کاملPrinting highly efficient organic solar cells.
The technological attraction in organic solar cells is their compatibility to printing processes. However, up to today, nearly no literature on "printed" organic solar cells have been published and the major body of the research work was done by spin coating or blading techniques. Transferring the spin-coating or doctor blading process currently used for the fabrication of bulk heterojunction s...
متن کاملIncorporation of a self-aligned selective emitter to realize highly efficient (12.8%) Si nanowire solar cells.
Formation of a selective emitter in crystalline silicon solar cells improves photovoltaic conversion efficiency by decoupling emitter regions for light absorption (moderately doped) and metallization (degenerately doped). However, use of a selective emitter in silicon nanowire (Si NW) solar cells is technologically challenging because of difficulties in forming robust Ohmic contacts that interf...
متن کاملHighly efficient catalysts for Co(II/III) redox couples in dye-sensitized solar cells.
We developed several low-cost catalysts with high catalytic activity, which were used as counter electrodes in dye-sensitized solar cells (DSCs). They showed higher efficiencies than that of Pt. The efficiencies were improved by 18-42% for the DSCs composed of active carbon, niobium dioxide, ordered mesoporous carbon and commercial titanium carbide.
